Dec. 23 - One Last Gift
Hi Everyone!
Time for one last surprise. Mr. and Mrs. have been really good this year so Santa gave me one of their gifts early. All I have to do is wrap it. Wrapping presents is such fun! Paper and bags, ribbon and bows. Everything is so pretty all silver and gold!

Dec. 22 - Almost Time To Go
Hi Everyone!
Christmas is right around the corner! I'm excited and sad at the same time. I'm excited because I love Christmas. Christmas is my favorite. I'm sad because it's almost time to leave and I like living with Mr. and Mrs. They are the best! They are both on the nice list for sure! Even B is OK, for a dog. I've had a super time and can't wait to do it again next year!

Dec. 21 - Tree Climb #4
Hi everybody!
Mr. and Mrs. left their Christmas music playing tonight. I love Christmas songs. They are so fun to sing. There's always singing in the North Pole. Santa himself has been known to lead a few rounds of Deck the Halls when he has some free time.
I finally got to climb the last tree in the house tonight. The tree by the front door is covered in homemade ornaments. Very nice! Mrs. sure is crafty.
I'm getting excited! Christmas is just a few days away. Santa's workshop is very busy now. Remember, Santa Claus is coming to town!

Dec. 20 - Making Friends
Hi Everyone!
Mr. and Mrs.'s pet dog B and I have been slowly becoming friends. She didn't like the idea of having to share any treats with me but I sneak her an extra one now and then. At least she stopped barking when I creep around the house at night.
Pets like getting gifts at Christmas too you know. A new collar or a chew toy or maybe a few treats. Don't forget your four-legged friends this holiday season!

Thankfully it was a quick trip to the North Pole tonight to check in with Santa. It left me lots of time to play. I love this game! Oh, those bad old piggies make me so mad! They are very naughty! Maybe I should tell Santa!

Dec. 18 - Midnight Snack
Hi Everyone!
I was looking for the Christmas cookies when I realised how important Christmas dinner can be. Friends and family all gathered together to share a meal of candy. Oh, sorry. I was thinking about Santa's Annual Elves Dinner. Mrs. Clause really knows how to cook! Fudge, cookies, brownies. Oh, and the tastiest gumdrops I've ever had! Yum!
I have to say I was dissapointed in the cookies I found. They were terrible!

Dec. 17 - Tree Climb #3
Hi Everyone!
The rec room tree is really neat! It's a black tree decorated with two of my favorite colors, red and silver. B wasn't too happy with me trying to climb it though.
I've seen white trees, pink trees, silver trees, and even a blue tree! All Christmas trees look nice, even the smallest one with only one ornament. All they need is a little love.

Dec. 16 - Achooo!
Hi Everyone!
I hate getting sick! Nothing is worse than catching a cold during the Christmas season. How do you enjoy Christmas treats or singing loudly for all to hear when you have to blow your nose every few minutes? Fortunately, Mrs. makes the best chicken soup and I'll soon be back on my feet. Yum, chicken soup is my favorite.

I finally got to check out the Christmas tree in the kitchen. It's very pretty. I really like the snowman on the top.

Dec. 12 - Special Delivery

I think getting Christmas cards in the mail is super! Nothing brightens up a day like friends and family wishing you a Merry Christmas. Mrs. sent her cards out last week and she checks the mail every day for holiday wishes from her loved ones.

Dec. 11 - Let's Play A Game
Hi Everyone!
Games are great. Nothing makes a party better than decorating cookies blindfolded or unwrapping a present the fastest. You know how really likes games? Santa's reindeer. They play games all the time. They like races and jumping but their favorite is Tag. Blitzen is the Tag champion this year. Rudolph is getting better now that the other reindeer let him play.
I shouldn't have to tell you what the favorite game for Elves is! Hide and Seek of course! Mr. and Mrs. are pretty good seekers but I've been easy on them so far.
Mr. actually has a few games with Elves in them but they don't look like me!

Dec. 10 - Be Good!
Hi Everyone!
The worst part of being a Scout Elf is having to tell Santa that someone is being naughty. It breaks my little heart that some people, not just children, are put on the naughty list even after several reminders to behave. Mr. is a pretty nice guy so he should be okay after a little reminder.

Dec. 09 - Happy Birthday!
Hi Everyone!
Today was Mr.'s birthday! He had a party with lots of friends and family. It was great.There was lots of food and treats for everyone. Everyone should have fun on their birthday. Dec. 08 - The Four Food Groups
Hi Everyone!
After last nights encounter with the syrup bottle I've decided to avoid the kitchen for a little while. Elves love syrup. Actually, Elves love anything from the four main food groups. You may have heard of them. Candy, candy canes, candy corn and, of course, syrup. So yummy! Mr. and Mrs. have a little box of Christmas candy in the living room and I've been sneaking a treat each night. Mmmmmm. Candy is my favorite!

Dec 6 - A Night at the Movies

I watched a Christmas movie last night. I love Christmas movies. I could watch Christmas movies all year long. Mr. and Mrs. have a nice little collection of Christmas movies. They have new ones, old ones, cartoons and one is all puppies! I bet I don't have to tell you which movie is my favorite!

Dec. 05 - Hung Out To Dry
Hi everyone!
Do you know what I like? Mittens! Big, fuzzy, warm mittens and a scarf wrapped up tight to keep out the cold. And long johns and boots and being toasty warm while playing in the snow.
Mr. and Mrs. have a nice little clothesline in their laundry room. I don't have to tell you how hard it is to find Elf sized clothes. I may go see if anything fits me.

Dec. 04 - Bath Time
Hi everyone!
Mr. and Mrs. may have lots of Christmas decorations but it sure doesn't look like Christmas outside! Rain, rain, rain! If this keeps up, I may have to ask Santa for some help making a white Christmas for everyone.
Do you like Christmas cookies? I do. Cookies are my favorite! I wanted to see the Christmas tree in the kitchen but I also wanted to see if there were any cookies. Mrs. must be good at hiding them from Mr. because I didn't find any. Oh well. Maybe next week.
I did find time to relax in the hot tub I found. What a nice way to unwind after a trip to the North Pole.

Dec 03 - My First Tree Climb
Hi everyone!
I love Christmas. Christmas is my favourite. You know what else I love? Climbing Christmas trees. Every Elf loves to climb Christmas trees. Have you ever heard of someones Christmas tree falling over in the middle of the night? Usually a dog or a cat gets the blame but its most likely an elf trying to climb it. But Rudy, you say, they didn't have an elf on their shelf! You would be right but just because a Scout Elf hasn't moved in doesn't mean Santa isn't watching you. House elves are responsible for watching many homes and stay in a different one each night. You never know if one is with you. Remember, Santa is always watching!
Anyway, I decided to check out the Christmas tree in the living room tonight. It's really nice with lots of lights and ornaments and the angel on top has real feather wings! I got stuck a few times but I made it. Tomorrow I'm going to try the one in the kitchen!

Dec 2 - Baby, It's cold outside!
Hi everyone!
All is finally quiet here. Mr. and Mrs. sure are busy when they are home. If they keep this up, they won't have time to get on the naughty list! They've cleaned and cooked and decorated their house for the holidays. It also snowed for the first time since I arrived. I was worried. Only three weeks until Santa comes to town and no snow! It got so cold here today that Mrs. Clause made me a sweater while I was reporting to Santa. It's kind of big but I love it anyway. Tomorrow night I should have lots of time to explore my new home since Mr. and Mrs. go back to work. I don't think their dog B likes me much yet. I tried to make friends with her tonight but she just growled at me. Oh well, we have all month to become buddies!

December 1, 2012 - Welcome Home
Hi everyone!
The Mr. and Mrs. went to bed so I can finally start my blog! This is my first solo job and I'm super excited! Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. My name is Rudy. Rudy the Elf from the North Pole. I'm one of Santa's helpers. Not the kind that makes toys. No, I'm a Scout Elf. We are Santa's eyes and ears letting the big guy know who's being naughty and who is nice. You may have heard of us since lately we decided to go public. You may even know someone who has one of my friends in their home watching them. If you don't know our story (which is a very nice book I might add) here's the basics. Every night after everyone goes to bed, we Scout Elves fly back to the North Pole and report to Santa on how everyone behaved that day. After a quick visit with other Scout Elves there, it's a quick flight back home. This leaves me the rest of the night to do whatever I like: work on my blog, explore the house and yes, sometimes have a little fun with my new family. Have you ever lost a shoe and found it under your bed or did laundry and had missing socks? That's usually because your house Elf is bored. I know one Elf who likes to unroll all the toilet paper in the bathroom. They still blame the cat every time it happens.
Anyway, as I said, this is my first job. I'm in Summerside, PEI, Canada and my new family is Mr. and Mrs. and their pet dog B. I wont get a family with children until I've proven myself. Children are quite a handful especially near Christmas and that's a job for the more experienced Scout Elves. I'm happy with the family I have. They love each other and they love Christmas so I think it's going to be a great month.
I'd better go now. It's getting late and sometimes Mr. gets up really early for work. I hope you like reading about me and my family. We're going to have lots of fun together. Now if you'll excuse me I have some toilet paper to unroll!
